Recently, EB-LINK built a reliability test bed in the factory, integrating the retesting of surge, static electricity and high and low temperature environmental stress into the factory inspection of industrial grade and power field models. The test data is retained by batch and serial number, and the records attached to the pallet are available for inspection.
What three types of stress does the test bench supplement?
In the past, normal temperature functions and light parameters were tested one by one before leaving the factory, and environmental stress was only sampled during the research and development stage. After the test bench was put into use, three types of retests were added to the mass production process: port surge applied combined wave pulses to the power port and outdoor signal port; electrostatic discharge covered two forms of contact discharge and air discharge; high and low temperature cycles simulated extreme values in the cabinet and then returned to temperature and remeasured light parameters.
- The surge retest falls on the power input port and long-line signal ports such as network ports and RS485;
- The static electricity retest is carried out after the entire machine is assembled, not just the single board, to cover the differences in the positions of the shell and interfaces;
- The high and low temperature cycles are maintained for a period of time according to the upper and lower limits of the specification. After the temperature returns, focus on the luminous power drift and alarm threshold.
Why is the retest placed after the one-by-one test?
Test one by one to determine whether it can be used, and environmental retest to determine whether it can be used under harsh working conditions. Putting surge and static electricity into the complete machine stage can verify whether the structural components, shielding and grounding paths are actually functioning. Measuring only the single board will easily miss the difference caused by the cable direction, and the power drift after temperature recovery cannot be seen at normal temperature.
Which models have entered the retest range
This round of retesting will first cover models commonly used in industrial wide-temperature and electric power fields, and commercial models will still be shipped according to the original process. When it comes to shop floor and machine vision projects, you can combineIndustrial automation and machine vision network solutionsConfirm the temperature range and power supply mode in advance; if you need to check whether a certain model is in the retest list or request a batch record sample, you can contact Wolflight technical support.
Data from the test bench is also fed back into the improvement process: port weaknesses exposed during retesting will be fed back to structural parts and device selection, and the scope of application and report samples will be updated by batch.
