Project background
The park is a shared office business, and tenants have widely varying network needs and frequent changes. The cost of expansion of the original vertical copper cable cabling is high and fault location is slow.
Needs and Challenges
- Disposable cabling needs to support future 10G/25G evolution;
- Tenants come in and out frequently, and the access method must be plug-and-play;
- Public areas and office areas need to be physically isolated for networking.
Implementation points
The vertical backbone is layered and terminated with 12-port 24-core LC single-mode/10G multi-mode fully configured ODF; the room entrance uses a mix of LC/UPC single-mode dual-core and LC-LC OM3 multi-mode jumpers; tenant access uses two optical and four electrical SFP slot transceivers + writable SFP Gigabit modules to flexibly connect their own switches, and public security uses a separate optical and electrical transceiver link.
Deliverables
- The wiring life is 30 years without replacement, and only the modules at both ends need to be replaced for capacity expansion;
- The average startup time for tenants was shortened from 3 days to 2 hours;
- The entire project's optical passive equipment was packaged and directly supplied by EB-LINK, and the cost was 22% lower than the original budget.
